Salary Sacrifice Growth
June 2025
Attractive motoring costs for employees, access to new battery electric technology and supporting services, and an excellent way to reward colleagues and support your business's ESG agenda…….But is a salary sacrifice scheme for cars right for your business?
🔎 Recent surveys have found that as many as 36% (of those surveyed) of UK businesses have implemented such schemes*.
🔎 It is said public sector leads the way, with their take up being as high as 56%!*
👥 Take up levels (of eligible staff) can range from between as low as 2%, and as high as 15%.
There are lots of considerations, however, and choosing the right scheme for the right requirement is key. Elements to consider are wide and varied, and a scheme might not be right for your business due to many factors. Choosing the right supplier for your needs is also critical.
We can help, so contact us 📧 if you’d like us to work with you on your own requirements.

Travel Costs Huge Impact
July 2025
Is your fleet and corporate mobility strategy truly aligned with your sustainability goals? Many organisations have ambitious ESG or net-zero targets but often overlook one of the easiest wins, fleet and corporate mobility.
🔎 Did you know depending on sector, travel can make up to 10% of your operating costs (not including fleet)?
🔎 Fleet (none operational) can make up to 6% of operating costs (Including fleet fuel, maintenance, insurance, depreciation/lease).
🔎 Depending on the industry, operational fleets can make up as much as 40% of overall costs!
From transitioning to alternative fuelled vehicles (AFV), to adopting smarter policies and leveraging salary sacrifice schemes, your fleet and mobility can be a powerful lever for:
✅ Reducing carbon footprint
✅ Improving cost efficiency
✅ Enhancing your employer brand
If sustainability is truly on the agenda, fleet and mobility should be part of the strategy. There are huge gains to be made. Curious how your current policies and frameworks stack up? Let’s talk.

Vehicle Downtime Costs
July 2025
Vehicle Downtime is the hidden cost you should not ignore.
Do you truly understand the amount of time your vehicles are off the road? Do you have practices in place to make sure they are off the road less frequently, and when they are, for the minimal time possible?
Did you know to do this effectively you will have to spend some money, but the ROI on that money will far outweigh the cost, alongside many other benefits?
🔎 Every hour a commercial vehicle is off the road, it’s not just a mechanical issue, its lost revenue, productivity, and cost.
🔎 On average, it is thought that scheduled and unscheduled maintenance causes around 60 working hours of downtime per year per vehicle* (yes, that’s 7.5 days!).
🔎 Through various conversations with fleet operators, an LCV being off the road causes up to £800 in cost and loss of productivity…. (yes, that’s £6,000 per year, per vehicle!).
🔎 Whether it’s unplanned maintenance, scheduling gaps, or parts delays, downtime is a cost.
📊 What are you doing to fight downtime in 2025? Let’s talk.

UK Government Support
July 2025
The government has now formalised several new incentives for the uptake of battery electric cars, including reintroducing the EV Grant offering up to £3,750 for new electric vehicles priced under £37,000, as well as incentives for those without parking at home to assist with charging.
A few key points:
🔋 Focused on affordability and sustainability
🏭 Prioritises greener manufacturing and UK-built models
📉 Aims to counteract falling EV demand and maintain momentum toward net zero
Whilst support is welcome, has this been hastily thought through (BEV grant)? Will this really?:
🔎 Change the perception of undecided drivers?
🔎 Prioritise UK built models?
🔎 Counteract used BEV demand which is low?
It feels like we risk incentivising short term retail wins at the expense of long term value retention particularly in the used market, which is already under pressure.
Targeted support is important, but let’s not overlook where the pain is actually being felt in its entirety.
Would love to hear thoughts from others across fleet, OEMs, and mobility businesses.

Digital Strategy
July 2025
Digitisation is continuing to transform the fleet and mobility landscape. We've had some of the tools for some time, but developments and adoption are growing. 🚛 💡
If you are still using paper logs, manual scheduling and being reactive to maintenance requirements, you are not leveraging what is available. Digitised fleet management systems enable a level of efficiency and insight that will deliver you a huge ROI, help you operate safely and compliantly, and keep your colleagues happy.
Whether you operate a few vehicles, or a thousand, digital tools can give you so much:
✅ Real time tracking and route optimisation/job dispatch
✅ Predictive maintenance helping to reduce cost and downtime
✅ Automated compliance and safety reporting
✅ Data driven decision making for cost and carbon reduction
